Welcome to NERA
The New Echota Rivers Alliance (NERA), a chapter of the Coosa River Basin Initiative, the Upper Coosa Riverkeeper, is a 501c3 grassroots, environmental organization based in Calhoun, Georgia. Our mission is to inform and empower citizens so that they may become involved in the process of creating a cleaner, healthier, more economically viable Coosa River Basin.
The next paddle trip is almost here. Make a Splash on July17 with NERA, as we host an 11-mile paddle trip from New Echota to downtown Calhoun. The event will include a point-of-interest map, shuttle service, rentals and more. Don't miss it. Register now by emailing David Harrison at dlbharrison@yahoo.com or call 770-547-2275.
